  • Don’t let rising prices hurt your wallet this holiday season—check out new Deals by Edison Mail to save money with coupons and sales from the stores you shop most.

  • Deals are offered on Edison Mail for iOS and Android., alongside helpful shopping features like Package Tracking, Bills & Receipts, and Refund Alerts!

It’s not just you, everything really is getting more expensive. Due to a perfect storm of supply chain issues, COVID-19 closures, cyber attacks, and more, inflation is up. Retail predictions for this holiday season suggest customers will see higher prices and have a difficult time finding popular toys. This is why one of the dominant pieces of advice being given out to shoppers this holiday season is to do your holiday shopping earlier than you have in previous years. That might mean that if you did not yet get those gift lists in order by mid-October you should finish up your shopping soon this month. After all, once the top toys are out of stock, there’s no telling when they’ll be available again.

The holiday shopping season is here, and online shopping is likely to rake in $207 billion in sales between November and December according to a study from Adobe Analytics. The steady rise in online shopping is why the Edison app offers features to help our users manage their spending habits. We offer a personal shopping assistant in your inbox in the form of Refund Alert which gets you cash back on items you’ve already purchased. Our Deals & Receipts Assistant shows all your recent online expenses, and our Package Tracker helps you keep track of your shipped packages.

So while the Edison team can’t do much to help in the domain of supply chains, we knew that there was more we could do to help you out this holiday season. Presenting, Deals.

Deals is the newest way for you to save money on online shopping this holiday season. Located within your Assistant Tab, Deals surfaces coupons you can use at the online stores you already frequent. There are a few different places where you can see your Deals.

You can see what Deals you have access to when you select any of your existing e-receipts located in your Bills & Receipts tab. To see all of the Deals you have access to in one place, simply select Deals in your Assistant Menu, and scroll through the list of offerings. Or if you’d rather see all the Deals offered from a specific retailer, select them from Favorites at the top of the Deals Tab and choose the Deal you’d like to use. Once you tap on a specific Deal, you’ll automatically be redirected to the retailer’s site where you can get what you need — cheaper.

Each Deal is shown to you with the code you may need as well as the expiration date of the offer. This way, you have all the knowledge you need to begin saving some serious cash.

Are you a frequent Madewell shopper? Deals will show you the latest sale on sweatpants and jeans. An Apple fan? Looks like there’s currently a special offer on refurbished products. Love LEGO? Get free shipping on that Disney Castle you’ve been eyeing.

To deactivate this feature, simply go to Settings → Customize Assistant → Deals. From there you can toggle the feature on or off.

Unlike targeted ads that follow you around the internet, Deals only surfaces coupons for the specific stores you shop at and can always be toggled on or off. As Edison Mail has always offered a smart assistant to help manage your shopping from the convenience of your inbox, Deals felt like a natural extension of that functionality to simplify your shopping experience even more and help you get the best bang for your buck on what you buy.
