How to Delete all Promotional Emails on Gmail

Promotional emails are emails companies or organizations send to consumers with the general goal of selling products. After signing up for a retailer's mailing list and making a purchase on their website or blog, you may receive promotional emails from them. To keep these emails separate from your Primary Inbox, Gmail automatically files them in your Promotions tab which also makes it easier to delete them.

  1. Access your Gmail account. At the top of your inbox, click the Promotions tab.

  2. Click the Select all box to select promotional emails on the current page (about 50 emails).

  3. Click the Delete icon at the top, shaped like a trash can.
